Growing up

I was born and raised in Hanover Park, IL.  I attended Einstein Elementary School and Jane Addams Jr High.  I Graduated from Hoffman Estates High School in 1994.  I received my Bachelors of  Science in 1998 from Eastern Illinois University, majoring in Zoology and Minoring in Chemistry.

My Family

I met my husband, Keith, while in high school.  He graduated from Conant High School the same year I graduated from Hoffman. We have been together for over 26 years and have been married for over 22 years.  We started a family and as our kids entered into school, we wanted our kids to have the same great experiences we had in school educationally, emotionally and athletically,  so we moved into Schaumburg 9 years ago.

We are the proud parents of Gavin, a freshman at SHS, and Brody, a 6th grader at Hoover Math and Science Academy.  Both boys have been very active in many sports, but are now focused on wrestling and golf.

Community Involvement

I have over 20 years of volunteer community involvement.  Prior to having my boys, I was a coach for various cheer squads at all levels in recreational and all-star organizations.  In order to make sure the cheerleaders were treated fairly, I became the cheer director and a board member for Bartlett Raiders Cheer and Pom.  To continue my efforts, I became a BGYFL league board member and later became the president of BGYFL Cheer and Pom.   Which then lead to being founding chair person of IRCA.   While working with the various cheer and pom teams, I also sat on the MadDog Wrestling Academy board as the special events coordinator.  After a short break to have my boys, I  came back to MWA and assumed the role of special events coordinator that I have held until this day.  When my sons played SAA football and baseball I was a team mom for both of their teams and as my sons took an interest in golf, I assisted in starting up the ICC youth competitive golf program.

Professional Experience

I am a business professional with 20+ year experience in quality control and quality assurance in the pharmaceutical and dietary supplement industries, with a focus on upholding  regulatory systems and implementing operational compliance standards.

I started my career as a bench chemist in an environmental lab and worked my way up the ladder to a chemist position then a senior chemist position in the pharmaceutical industry.  I then moved into the pet pharmaceutical industry and moved into a management position. I finally found my home 9 years  ago in the dietary supplement industry.  I recently decided to enhance and expand my career by moving from managing a group of analytical quality control labs to managing a quality assurance compliance team.  My new team focuses on the various compliance regulation put forth by FDA, SQF, non-GMO, organic, Halal and Kosher programs
